Pilates class filming for studios and apps
Reformer and mat Pilates are the fastest-growing classes in UK fitness, and filming them well takes angles a general videographer rarely plans for. We film full-length Pilates classes for studios launching on-demand libraries and for apps, shot with the side, high and close angles members need to follow the work. Pricing starts from £250 per class, travel included, and we film in your studio.

A reformer class needs at least a side angle for the body line, a high or overhead angle for footwork and spring positions, and a close angle for hand and foot placement, cut together so a member at home can follow without guessing. We plan the set-ups around your repertoire before the day, so the footage matches the way you teach. Our guide on the reformer angles members need covers this in full.

Pilates class filming starts from £250 per class with Fitness Class Filming, and most studios film four to eight classes in a day, so a launch library comes together in a few days of shooting. Travel is included, and if we need to hire a larger space we arrange it with you at cost. Get an instant range on the pricing page.

We film both. Mat classes are quicker to set up and suit higher volumes; reformer needs more angles and more planning per class. Many studios film a mix in one booking to launch a rounded library. We size the day around the split you want.
-
We film in your own Pilates studio wherever possible, which keeps the look true to your brand, and we travel across the UK. You get full-length classes, named and trimmed, delivered ready for Mindbody, Uscreen, Arketa, Glofox, Momence or Vimeo, in about ten working days.
-
Reformer and mat studios launching an on-demand membership, studio groups refreshing a library every quarter, and Pilates apps filming full classes and exercise clips. Filmed in your studio with the angles that show the spring change and the foot position, not a camera at the back of the room.
Pilates classes can be really tough to film yourself. Members need to see the spring change and the foot position, so I plan three angles around your class before the day. Get in touch if you’re ready to elevate your video Pilates classes.

With three angles: a wide side angle for the carriage and the instructor's cueing, a high angle for footwork, straps and spring changes, and a close cutaway for hand and foot placement, cut in where the cue lands. We plan the set-ups around your repertoire before the day.

Both. Mat classes are quicker to set up and suit higher volumes; reformer needs more angles and more planning per class. Many studios film a mix in one booking to launch a rounded library, and we size the day around the split you want.
-
Usually. Rows of reformers, mirrors and low ceilings are normal for us and we plan the camera positions around them. The two things that stop a studio being used are no control over the light and classes running in the room all day; then we hire a reformer studio with you at cost.
-
Yes, with written consent from each person, and we can supply a release form. Most studios film with two or three regulars who know the cues, because a class with bodies on the reformers reads far better online than an instructor alone in an empty room.
-
Springs, straps and box changes are cut cleanly, so the class flows online the way it does in the room, and the close angle carries the change where a member needs to see it. Instructors teach the class exactly as they would in the studio; nothing is re-staged for the camera.
